We as Archons have a great opportunity to spread awareness and support for the Ecumenical Patriarch in our communities.
In the past few years, we have been creating and distributing informational cards about the different issues the Ecumenical Patriarch is facing. Our newest card features important information about Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew’s recent visit to the United States has provided us an opportunity to discuss his personal history and the history of the church. These cards are not an end in and of themselves, they are meant to complement conversations about the Ecumenical Patriarchate that you have both in your church community and your wider community.
Here are some ideas of how to start these important discussions:
- Speak before the senior class of the Sunday school. This group will soon be out of Sunday school and we need to make sure they have a clear understanding of the Ecumenical Patriarch.
- Ask to make a presentation for your entire church and pass out cards to all who attend.
- Speak with people after church that you know have a deep love for the mother church.
Make sure you have a supply with you that can be passed out anytime you are able to have a discussion regarding the Ecumenical Patriarch.
All the information you need is located on our websites archons.org and bartholomew.foundation.
The cards are available for you at no cost at the Archon office in New York.
