Greek Independence Day Parade to be televised and streamed live, April 10 at 2pm

National Council member Archon John A. Catsimatidis, the Order’s Religious Freedom Chairman is coordinating the broadcast of the 2016 Annual Greek Independence Day Parade, organized by the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York.

The parade will be televised live on Channel 9 WWOR TV, and also streamed on the internet on: www.my9nj.com

In addition to the Parade itself, there will be televised segments with Archon National Secretary Judge B. Theodore Bozonelis who will speak on the Religious Freedom deficit in Turkey and how it attempts to asphyxiate the worldwide ministry of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

The 195th Greek Independence Day Parade will take place on New York’s famed 5th Avenue, starting at 64th Street and continuing to 79th Street on Sunday, April 10, from 2:00-4:00pm.

The Greek Independence Day Parade, an annual celebration of Hellenic identity, is celebrated annually in Greece on March 25, commemorating the start of the War of Greek Independence in 1821 from the Ottoman Empire.
