He has also served on the parish council of Holy Trinity Cathedral in Charlotte, North Carolina, on the Board of Trustees of the Parish Foundation.
In addition to all that, Archon Cavalaris has been a member of the St. Photios Shrine Foundation since 1979, and served on the Board of Trustees and as Vice-President for fifteen years. In 2011, he received Emeritus Status. From 1998 to 2006, he served on the Board of Trustees of Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. For the Order of AHEPA, he has served as a Chapter, District and National Officer, as well as National Projects Chairman.
