The March-April 2009 issue of The Archon Newsletter is now available in PDF format on the Archon web site at archons.org/newsletter. This bi-monthly publication is the official newsletter of The Order of Saint Andrew and covers important information on the fight for religious freedom for the Ecumenical Patriarchate, including summaries of meetings and activities that are held by the Archons.
This edition of The Archon highlights private discussions held by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew with President Obama during the President’s recent visit to Istanbul, Turkey. Coverage is offered on the Archon meetings held with the Romanian Patriarchate, OSCE, and the EU during their February Religious Freedom Mission to Europe. The issue also reports on the Greek Independence Day celebrations held at the White House along with the Lifetime Achievement Award presented to the National Commander of the Order of St. Andrew. Important information regarding the Archon Historic Pilgrimage to Cappadocia, Holy Land, and Mt. Sinai for May 28-June 9, 2009 is also available in this issue.
