New York, NY – I hope you are having a spiritually fulfilling Great Lent and I look forward to seeing many of you at our Twelfth Annual National Archon Lenten Retreat which commences at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Christian Church located in Southampton, New York (111 Saint Andrews Road, Southampton, NY 11968, Tel.: 631-283-6169) at 5:30 pm, Friday, March 27, 2015 and continues on Saturday, March 28, 2015. If you cannot come for both days, consider joining us for one of the sessions either Friday evening, Saturday morning or Saturday afternoon. I promise you will be spiritually uplifted and your Orthodoxy will be energized! With the invaluable assistance of Archon Spiritual Advisor Father Alexander Karloutsos, Archon Peter Skeadas, Chairman of the Spirituality Committee and Co-Chairman Archon Michael Psaros are organizing a unique and memorable experience.
The 2015 Lenten Retreat will be led by Rev. Dr. Themistocles Adamopoulo and the topic will be the Salvific Social Gospel in War and Peace: Matthew 25: 38-41. The Rev. Dr. John Chryssavgis, Archdeacon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, will be our Retreat Special Guest and Father Alexander Karloutsos and Father Constantine Lazarakis will join us as Retreat Pastors.
